Living life with obsessive-compulsive disorder can feel like you are stuck in a never-ending loop. You might feel the need to make everything perfect and to check or clean or repeat certain actions until it feels right, even when it does not make sense.Â
Our online OCD therapy in New Mexico offers a gentle and calm environment to understand your thought process and learn new ways to respond. With professional guidance, it is possible to change thought processes and reduce compulsions.
Therapy can help you with:
Intrusive thoughts that feel disturbing, unwanted, or repetitive
Compulsions like checking, counting, cleaning, or repeating actions
Strong urges to seek reassurance again and again
Fear of harming yourself or others, even when you do not want to
Worries about contamination, germs, or illness
Intense discomfort when things feel uneven or "not right"
You will have a safe and secure place to talk about your fears and thoughts in detail. Our therapist will guide you throughout the process, so you can share what you are experiencing without hiding anything.
Together, you and your therapist may:
Map out your specific obsessions and compulsions
Explore what tends to trigger them and how you usually respond
Learn how OCD operates and why it is so convincing
Practice new ways of responding to urges and anxiety
When you identify the OCD occurrence pattern, it becomes easier to reduce it. With our therapy, you will learn the pattern of intrusive thoughts and how to interrupt them.
