Talk to our Coordinator
Monday-Friday: 8AM – 8PM
A ‘certain amount’ of stress is a normal part of life, but it can quickly become too much if it’s affecting large aspects of your life.
For many people in Naperville juggling demanding careers, family life, commuting, and other stressful parts of life, stress can quickly take over.
Our stress management therapy service helps you understand where your stress is coming from, what it means, and how you can learn to manage it.
It can help with:
This service isn’t about learning how to push through stress – it’s about learning where it comes from, and why it is affecting you.
Sessions are held online, so you can attend from home in Naperville, fitting support around your schedule instead of adding one more thing to it.
Approaches our therapists may draw on include:
Stress rarely has no cause at all – we’ll help you figure out where it’s coming from if you don’t already know, so you can understand the triggers and patterns related to it.
Stress can cause lots of physical symptoms – we can teach you techniques to ease physical tension in order to feel more relaxed and sleep more easily.
Much of what makes stress overwhelming is how we think about it. We help you challenge unhelpful thinking and see situations more clearly.
It’s important to protect your energy by setting boundaries so you don’t get burnt out and stressed. We’ll teach you how to manage your life so you can optimize your energy and reduce stress.
Spotting the signs of stress early makes it much easier to deal with. We’ll teach you the signs to look out for, and how to act based on them.
The goal isn’t a stress-free life – it’s knowing you can handle what comes. We’ll help you get back in control of your life.

There is no ‘level’ to reach before you should consider therapy – everyone is different. If you feel like stress is becoming a major issue in your life, that’s enough.
Talking helps, but therapy goes further. Your licensed therapist will help you learn methods for coping with stress, and much more.
Stress and anxiety often overlap, and your therapist can help you understand the difference. If anxiety is part of the picture, we can support that too.
Again, it varies from person to person. Most people see improvement after a couple of sessions – for some people it might be more and for others, less.
